The Sage Wedding Your Married Friends Wish They Had!
Sage is all the rage right now. It's romantic, it's natural, and it compliments other colors perfectly. As an Earth Day baby, I am naturally obsessed with shades of green. There's no doubt that sage will be one of our wedding colors when Christopher and I get married. You can incorporate sage all throughout your wedding decor and it isn't overpowering. To help you create the perfect sage look for your special day, I spent hours going through Pinterest to bring you the best of the best looks. (Not that I mind spending my time scrolling through insanely gorgeous wedding photos!)
Start out by giving your guests a taste of what to expect with your save-the-dates and invitations. Whether it be the envelopes, the invitations themselves, or the font color, this is where you can start with your sage rage!
Ugh, please give me this whole decorated tent! Mixing sage colored paper lanterns with some white, ivory, and pale blue will give your outdoor garden wedding a light, flowy, clean, and laid back romantic feel. I want it all!
Incorporating sage in the different elements of your wedding will bring it all together as a whole look. Here are some additional ideas for decor.
If you can't find a beautiful sage frame, find one that you can paint and attach it to a chalkboard. You can use it to write a welcome message, your bar menu, or so much more.
Whether you're wanting to spice up your head table or create the perfect lounge area near the bar, statement furniture adds a unique touch to your wedding. Beautiful couches like the one in this photo also make the perfect prop for your gorgeous photos!
How much fun are these swings covered in vines? Adding these to your lounge area will make all of your guests excited, because let's be honest...who doesn't love to swing?! Boring people who always need to complain about something. That's who. Talk to your tent/event rental company first to make sure you have a structure that can support these.
It's in my top 5 favorite things about a wedding for sure! I mean, it's cake. Need I say more? If you want the inside of your cake to match the rest of your wedding, go for a layer or two of pistachio cake! I literally loathe pistachios, but the cake is outstanding. From what I've learned from some bakers, pistachio cake is made with pistachio pudding, which basically means that every bite you take is moist and melts in your mouth.
Gift yourself, gift your mother and future mother-in-law, or gift your bridesmaids! These sage green pearl drop earrings or gold orchid earrings will look great on absolutely anyone! At the time of writing this post, the pearl drop were only $30.00 and the pearl with gold were $25.00 on Etsy.
There are endless options when it comes to putting together the perfect bridesmaids look! Here are a few of my favorite options that I found...
Put your bubbly little flower girls in a dress like one of these and they're sure to get all the ooh's and ahh's when they make their way down the aisle (even if they do cry and run all the way to the end).
Groom & Groomsmen
We can't forget about the groom and groomsmen of course! Dress the men up in light gray, light brown, or ivory suits and add the touch of sage with their accessories.
Create the perfect end to your evening and your pictures with a rosemary send-off!
You can always keep your wedding theme going by ordering a guest book for your coffee table or a ring box.
I hope these photos have let your sage rage inspiration flow. If you have any questions or need help with your wedding decor ideas, feel free to comment on this post or send me an email through the contact page on my website!
